National Development, in partnership with Alexandria Real Estate Equities, developed a 255,000 SF life science building on the site of the former Mount Auburn Club in Watertown, MA. The project sits on 6.3 acres with nature and walking trails and a multi-use/shared use bike/pedestrian path that connects the site off-street to the Charles River/DCR network. Additionally, the project included significant improvements along Coolidge Avenue to incorporate a wider sidewalk allowing for both pedestrians and bikes to travel off-street as well as a new signalized intersection. A 780KWH PV/solar array system on the main building and garage feeds the building and contributes to its LEED Gold status. The building is partially leased by tenants Sonata and Matchpoint.
